66.00 gram, monster green 'roller' trinitite from the Lincoln LaPaz collection. This is a large museum grade specimen and one of a very few large pieces left that will be offered from the La Paz collection. The 'roller' designation comes from the theory of formation. It is believed that these pieces were blown out across the desert floor during the blast, as opposed to being rained down onto the desert. The rollers tumbled picking up sand and rocks on all sides before coming to a rest and cooling. (Less than 15 seconds after the blast). This piece shows some small pooling on the edges with the typical smooth green trinitite surface.
